Little triangles we used to add extra strength

1. The bridge design we have choosen is a beam bridge.  I think our bridge is going to be stronger near the ends and weaker in the middle. So some extra reinforcment will be needed.
2.The construction is coming together nicly. We have only minor things left to do.
3. Pictures will be put up soon. Can't find a cord to plug my phone into the computer.

Our mousetrap vehicle did great! Our car had great distance. It went over 16 meters. We came up with a good design. Having 3 records as wheels was a good advantage. Also the way we had the trap setup. We had it pulling the front axle instead of pushing the back axle.

Some useful tips if your building a mousetrap vehicle:
  • Using records for wheels can be really beneficial
  • Having the mousetrap on the front axle made our vehicle go farther.
  • Use a little extra wire or string attached to your mousetrap. If you wrap it up right it shouldn't get it tangled up.

Our mousetrap vehicle successfully went 10m all 3 times. When we tested out how far our vehicle would go, it went 16.65 m. In the drag race how vehicle didn't move because our wire came undone before we started the race.

There is 2 things i would modify on my vehicle. First I would try to fix the wheels to make them less wobbly. Second i would try to find a better way to wrap up the wire so we could have more reliability.

There isn't anything that I would change to our design. Its light and go a good distance.  Just minor modifications are all that is needed.

Just to make sure the wheels stay straight is the only modification that is really needed. By adding washes to the axle would probably help that.

Mouse Trap Vehicles

Overal, our mousetrap vehicle did good.  First our vehicle didn't move but we wrapped the wire differently and it made it work better. The design is nothing like what we have.

Our vehicle slowly face  to the right, but the farthest it went was about 17meters.  The only changes needed is to keep the backwheels straight so it doesn't fade to the right. Also we need to find a consistant way to wrap the wire so we have more reliabity with it.

1. The most rewarding part of this was the building of the project. It was fun putting everything together.
2. Our tower was almost identical to our oringinal idea. We just changed the placement of the cylinders.
3. I learned from Cam's group that we had less, but stronger cyclinders we might have held more weight.
